Our mission is to reach a lost and hurting world. We do so by sharing God's plan for each person's life. We want the world to know:
God is Holy… The Bible tells us that God is Holy: “But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do;” 1 Peter 1:15
…But Man is sinful. We also learn from the Bible that as humans, we all sin. We sin when we choose to disobey God. “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” Romans 3:23
Sin separates us from God. Because God is Holy, our sin separates us from God, and the end result of that sin is death: “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23
You cannot save yourself. We often try to do good things to make up for our sin, but doing good things will not save you. You can only be saved by the gift of Jesus Christ: “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9
Jesus died for you. God has made a way to solve our sin problem. He sent His Son, Jesus, to earth to sacrifice His life in place of our sin, so that no one needs to die. Through His death on the cross, He paid the penalty for our sin: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
Trusting in Christ is the only way to be saved from death. We must trust Jesus Christ and receive him by personal invitation. “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord’, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” Romans 10:9-10
What you must do: Admit your need (I am a sinner). Believe Jesus died on the cross for you and rose from the dead. Confess through prayer that He is Lord and invite Him to come in and take control of your life.
Not sure what to pray? There is no one right prayer, but you can pray something like this to communicate to God your repentance, ask His forgiveness, and invite Jesus into your life:
Dear Lord, I know that I am a sinner and need your forgiveness. I believe you died for me and rose from the dead. I trust you as my Lord and Savior and invite you into my heart and my life. I pray that you guide my life and help me to do your will. Amen
